The SIGMA MC-21 lens mount converter allows greater freedom in lens choice for L-Mount hybrid cameras, enhancing the extensibility of the L-Mount system.
1. Efficient management of your lens investment
Adding the MC-21 to the full range of compatible SIGMA SA-mount and SIGMA-branded Canon EF-mount lenses* allows the photographer to use them as L-Mount system lenses, preserving the valuable lenses already in their possession. * See the list of compatible lenses below.

The MC-21 is not required for native L-Mount lenses.

2. 29 interchangeable lenses available for L-Mount cameras
The MC-21 increases by 29 the number of interchangeable SIGMA lenses that can be used with the L-Mount system. Being compatible with the automatic crop function, mounting APS-C image circle lenses on a camera with a 24x36mm full-frame sensor allows immediate shooting.
3. Fast and accurate autofocus
High-precision AF shooting in AF-S mode is supported.
* Not compatible with AF-C mode.
4. User-friendly interface
Whether the mounted lens is compatible is instantly visible from the colour and state of the indicator light built into the MC-21. The indicator light also alerts the user when a lens firmware update is available.
5. Lens data is preloaded
Data preloaded into the MC-21 for each lens, used by the dedicated control program, optimises AF drive and aperture control. For lenses released later, the operating data for those lenses via the MC-21 will be stored in the lens itself, meaning no MC-21 firmware update will be needed to use those new lenses.
The MC-21 also supports camera correction functions such as peripheral illumination, magnification chromatic aberration and distortion correction.
Other features
● Supplied with a tripod mount
Equipped with a base for attaching a tripod. Lenses not fitted with a tripod collar can be used by mounting the tripod on the MC-21.
※ The supplied tool allows fitting and removal.

● The inner surface of the body is flocked to eliminate internal reflections.
To prevent a reduction in lens performance due to internal reflections, the inner surface of the body is covered with flocking.

● Exif data retention
Information such as lens type, focal length, F-number and other related data is embedded as Exif data in each image file.
● Use of the SIGMA MC-21 MOUNT CONVERTER in combination with Panasonic Corporation's LUMIX S1 and LUMIX S1R.
・Only AF-S works in autofocus mode. AF-C cannot be selected.
● The SIGMA MC-21 mount converter is not compatible with Leica SL, CL and TL2.
Note 1: The mount converter is not compatible with a teleconverter.
Note 2: Use with lenses other than those designated as compatible is not guaranteed.

Note 3: Notice on using the SIGMA MC-21 mount converter with Panasonic L-Mount cameras.
- The SIGMA MC-21 can be used with the Panasonic LUMIX S1, LUMIX S1R, LUMIX S1H and LUMIX S5. Please update the MC-21 converter and the camera firmware to the latest version.
- Only AF-S works in autofocus mode. AF-C cannot be selected.
- Continuous Auto mode cannot be used during video recording.
- Touch AF cannot be used.
- With lenses incorporating the MO (Manual Override) function, manual operation is only possible after focusing.
- The MF guide is not available.
Note 4: Notice on using the SIGMA MC-21 mount converter with Leica cameras. - The SIGMA MC-21 can be used with the Leica SL2 and SL2-S. Please update the MC-21 converter and the camera firmware to the latest version.
- The SIGMA MC-21 cannot be used with Leica cameras (Leica T, TL, TL2, CL, SL) released before the announcement of the L-Mount Alliance.
- Only AF-S works in autofocus mode. AF-C cannot be selected.
- Only MF mode can be used for focusing during video recording.
- With lenses incorporating the MO (Manual Override) function, manual operation is only possible after focusing.
- The MF guide is not available.
- The optical stabiliser function can only be turned on or off using the OS switch on the lens.
- The AF function button available on some lenses cannot be used.
