The Art of Speed
At Leica and for Formula 1®, teams of engineers devote months to exceptional precision in order to gain the fraction of a second that makes all the difference. A vibrant tribute to the art of speed, the Leica Q3 43 Formula 1® Edition is the result of this shared passion for precision and technique. The set stands out for its hand-made carbon elements, its non-slip micro-suede and the official F1® logo. The 43 mm focal length captures even the most adrenaline-charged moments without distorting them, reproducing the way the human eye perceives them.
Born from German craftsmanship. Powered by the spirit of motor racing.

F1® form factor
The Leica Q3 43 Formula 1® Edition uses materials emblematic of motor sport on the most heavily used areas. Its black micro-suede covering offers a secure grip, inspired by the grip of racing steering wheels. Carbon elements, specially manufactured in Germany, cover the grip, thumb rest and soft shutter button. The carbon fibres are shaped with precision, while their complex finish elegantly evokes the world of motor racing.
Colour in the service of concentration
On racing car steering wheels, colours mark certain controls so the driver can locate them without taking their eyes off the track. Attention thus stays focused on the race. This special edition follows the same principle with touches of Formula 1® red at strategic points: on the soft shutter button and on the function button to the right of the thumb rest. The gaze never leaves the scene.
The Leica Look "Formula 1®"
A visual effect was specially created for this edition to extend the motor sport experience into the images. With its high contrast and saturated colours, the exclusive Leica Look "Formula 1®" recreates the atmosphere of the circuit in every photo. The Leica FOTOS app lets you activate this Leica Look directly on the camera. Photos are saved in JPEG format and can then be transferred to your smartphone in seconds via the app and shared.
Technology without compromise
The Leica Q3 43 Formula 1® Edition is built on the Leica Q3 43. It keeps its exceptional imaging performance and…
